I suppose, at the outset, I should refer to her by whatever title feels right to me, knowing that to do so will be acceptable on some grounds, so long as I am sincere, even if the title I happen to choose for her isn’t, in every instance, perfectly fitting theologically.

I don’t even know whether, in beginning to write about her, I should refer to her as Mary, the Virgin Mary, or by some other title, such as Our Lady.
