One of the difficulties in writing a book like this is knowing how much to reveal about yourself, as opposed to what you think about other things — things that are separate and distinct from yourself. A person you live with and love is not really distinct from yourself in the same way that a person you encounter one day, and never meet again, is distinct from yourself.
