I have an opinion about the election of course, but I don’t think I’m going to disclose it here. Nobody wants to hear another ‘take’ on the subject, at least not from me. Besides, whatever I might say today would likely need to be qualified a few days from now, when the news cycle brings another item into our consciousness, as there seems to be a quickening of events, socially and geopolitically, that is indicative of I don’t know what, something vaguely somber and apocalyptic, which itself is not limited to anything so particular as one nation’s presidential contest. And anyway I’d rather talk about other things.
