A good example of this uncanniness can be found in the movie The Blair Witch Project, wherein the audience never sees the so-called ‘witch’, and cannot even say for certain that the witch exists, in the film’s reality, but would be hard-pressed, at the same time, to say absolutely that it doesn’t exist.
