This morning I’m awake early and am getting ready to drive down to the airport in Denver, where I’ll board a flight back to New York. The house is fine in my estimation, the boiler in the basement is working, the pipes haven’t frozen, there are no water leaks that I can see. I did come across, in one of the cupboards under the counter in the kitchen, some little black pellets that look like they might be mouse droppings, but I did not see or hear any mice myself. I told A. over the phone that we need to bring the cats out here again.
