After Mass this morning, when the priest had left the sanctuary and the parishioners were beginning to vacate the pews and exit the church, I got up and went over to a statue that is a plaster replica of Michelangelo’s Pietà, so that I could kneel in its vicinity and pray the Rosary, which today, being Friday, is dedicated to the sorrowful mysteries.
