One of the characters in Infinite Jest, by David Foster Wallace, is a tennis prodigy, and much of the novel is set at a tennis academy, somewhere in New England, if I remember right. I never finished reading that novel, but gave up after about three hundred pages, not because I wasn’t enjoying it but simply because I’m a very slow reader and sometimes get distracted by another book, or put a book down for a while in the midst of reading it and forget to come back to it. As I know I’ve mentioned, in previous entries.
